The nonprofit performing arts center has brought a 1940s art deco theater back to life in downtown Douglas with a mission to create a cultural arts headquarters of which the town can be proud. Well-known touring bands like The Marshall Tucker Band as well as popular regional acts, dance and other stage performances are regularly on the schedule. The Coffee Alliance for the Arts fosters, encourages and increases the appreciation and practice of the arts in Douglas and Coffee County. The nonprofit organization provides art enrichment experiences for Coffee County residents and visitors.
The Wiregrass Artists Guild nourishes and encourages current and future artists in Douglas by sharing the world of visual arts with Coffee County. The guild was founded in 2002 and continues to support, educate and inspire through workshops, field trips and special events available to everyone.
Our culture in South Georgia wouldn’t be complete without our churches. They are gathering places and spiritual centers that tie together communities with deep bonds.
