Things to Do

The Ultimate Douglas Checklist

visit the broxton rocks

The Broxton Rocks was named one of "30 Natural Wonders in Georgia to See Before You Die" by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Decorated with endangered species of plants and animals, this natural waterfall is a sacred and protected attraction. It was named one of "Georgia's Hidden Treasures" by WSB-TV, and it truly is a treasure we all cherish.

Take a Picture with a warbird undergoing reconstruction

One of our best-kept secrets is our rich history with WWII warbirds. Apart from our involvement in training young pilots for war, a team of skilled engineers and passionate pilots spend their days restoring vintage warbirds to flying and award-winning condition in the very hangars our young pilots trained in.

Indulge in a Warm Holt's Donut

Holt's Bakery and Restaurant is a local hotspot for delicious southern cuisine and decadent sweet treats! Famous for their melt-in-your-mouth donuts made fresh every morning, you won't want to pass up on this experience!

Sleep Beneath the Stars

Enjoy the peace and quiet nature has to offer. If you're into alternative lodging, you'll definitely want to stay at one of our cabins at General Coffee State Park! A relaxing landscape and plenty of space to hike, camp, ride horses and learn about Douglas's history at the Heritage Farm.
