Douglas Main Street Program

The Douglas Main Street Program is built to support the businesses of our downtown district. From special events to bringing in new business to the area, the Main Street Program is vital to the economic well-being of our county.

The Main Street Program works alongside the merchants of the downtown area to encourage crowds to shop local. In September 2018, First Fridays were born; a collaborative event between downtown merchants and the public. On the first Friday of every month, shoppes and restaurants extend their business hours until 8pm to encourage locals to bring their families and spend some time downtown. They offer specials, sales, and offer treats and beverages to customers. Local musicians are scattered up and down the main street and creates a wonderful ambiance in our community.
